Been working on some fun stuff all week, today I had someone get their first tattoo, and if you’ve read this site at all you know I LOVE first tattoos, and think it’s great that part of my job is welcoming people into the tattoo world.
I also started working on a big coverup on my old pal Dione today. It was really good to see her. And worked some more on a huge creepy tree piece, and a few other things.
Tomorrow I’ll be heading to Seattle to spend some time with my manfriend/boyfriend/hotness Mark, and to go see Kreator. KREATOR! It’s like a wave of nostalgia for me. I liked the record they did in like 1995, I think, Cause for Conflict? And had completely forgotten they existed until Mark was playing a newer video of them for me, on one of my visits. Holy hell, they’re still playing? They still exist? When he asked me if I liked them I even said “I don’t know” because I’d totally forgotten about them. I’m excited to ge see them, even if they ARE a little old now.
To top off all this excitement, YOB is playing. YOB IS PLAYING. Here in town, next week. FINALLY! It seems like so long, forever. I can’t wait. Two great shows two weeks in a row, I don’t know what to do with myself!!!
I’ll be back in Oregon tuesday, and back to work wednesday. In the meantime rock on…I’ll be in a sleeper car, northbound on amtrak, with a new haircut and the headphones blasting.

pictures from my weekend with mark…we went all over the place and learned how to properly play with the handheld colorshift flash. fun times!!!
We went out to the row river, my favorite swimming hole, also drove to corvallis by accident, went to the coast and saw some birds and fishes, cruised up in the national forest where the whole world was dripping and cool. We went up above the frost line, in one day we saw bright sun, rainbows, hail, snow, and crisp dry.
Stopped in at this weird fifties diner place too, out in florence, and had a huge and delicious hamburger.
Basically it was a whole weekend of awesome. I’ve got a lot of work this week and then I leave for AZ, for a few days. I’m craving the desert. I miss my dry heat people, too. And then back up to Seattle for a few days, and then home again home again. Life has been wonderful lately, in every aspect, and I’m so glad.
I have a bunch of work things to post next too, probably tomorrow.

So I’m going to Seattle for my birthday to hang out and spend some time with my gentleman friend, Mark, (some of you may recall his presence at the Vancouver convention) also, to work with the kids at Cicada.
(note:croatoan reference here please)
Now while I am extremely pleased to be able to spend my birthday with such a wonderful person who I have such connected long-standing feelings for, and glad to be working with such amazing admirable and advanced artists on this trip, I also dread something and that dread is welling up in my soul.
The train. (more after the jump)
